Ludo is one of the most popular board games in Pakistan, and some of my earliest memories include playing it with my family. It is a tradition that stays alive to this day; every time I visit my parents, we play a game after dinner.
Ludo pieces are often made of cheap plastic, and the boards are printed cardboard, which deteriorate very quickly. This version of Ludo lives on a laser engraved wooden board, with custom pieces made to represent the various aspects of Lahore. Green flowers to represent the City of Gardens, yellow crowns to represent the seat of the Mughal Emperors, red cricket balls to represent the thriving cricket culture, and black cats to represent the wildlife, as well as our pet cats.
The game is built to be sturdier and visually more appealing as a set, similar to a chess set you may leave out on a table as decor when not actively playing.
