Hello! I'm Syed Erzum Naqvi and I am a storyteller at heart. I have a constant curiosity for the various media that allows for different kinds of stories to shine. At the end of the day, though, they're exactly that; just a medium for the story to reach the audience. I have dabbled in everything from the written word, oral storytelling, acting, film and photography, animation, digital fabrication, coding, and am excited about the many more avenues just waiting to be explored.
Originally from Pakistan, I moved to Qatar in 2015 to receive my formal undergraduate education in Media Industries and Technology at Northwestern University. After graduating, I worked as a Lead Producer at Ogilvy, creating multimedia content in a market that was only just beginning to embrace visual media. Ogilvy became the first advertising agency to set up an in-house content production team, and I have been fortunate enough to work with clients locally, regionally and internationally.
Currently, I am pursuing an MFA Degree in Interdisciplinary Design at Virginia Commonwealth University. This has allowed me to explore avenues of storytelling and design that were previously unknown to me. Since then, I have managed to collaborate with other artists and designers on a variety of projects that have been exhibited across the globe.
